Making Charlotte Accessible

A disability inclusion organization

Our why.

Despite being nearly 16% of the world’s population, Disabled people are largely invisible in our society.

Despite years of advocacy and legislative wins, the needs of Disabled people often go unconsidered.

Despite consistent resilience in the face of inaccessibility, the contributions, innovations, and autonomy of Disabled people are rarely acknowledged.

We are here to change that.

What we do.

Access CLT strives to create community by offering a space for storytelling, skill building, and sharing of resources — all while centering disabled people.

By connecting disabled people, advocates, professionals, and community leaders, these relationships can lead to collaborations, support networks, and even job opportunities for those involved.
